Tassie government has given Incat (shipbuilder) a $100 million interest free loan to build a ship that doesn’t have a buyer as yet. Purely to keep their large workforce employed.
Its a great idea. Gov will get their money back and 200-300 people keep paying taxes.
With the supposed high demand for ore surely end user can chip in for some shipping costs too?
