The molecule is usually just referred to as lithium carbonate but the molecule has two lithium atoms and is correctly called dilithium carbonate (not that 'lithium carbonate' is incorrect as far as I know, it just doesn't specify the number of lithium atoms in the molecule).
But yes, it's energy-related and does work well with the Star Trek link with a futuristic vibe.
Not taking the piss, it's a perfectly correct name for the molecule.
