I do think having read that recently they are making a profit with it but only use it for local consumption.

The 5x increase in price has only been in the last one to one and half year after the decision was made to a reduced output.

It does make sence that once they made the decision to the reduced output and use the plant for mostly training purpose that management wanted to turn there time and resources to the construction of the 2000 tpa plant. It is seriously more important to achieve a positive result with the new plant than have a little excess founds with the pilot plant.

Another reason could be that they require to have enough raw material for the start up of the 2000 tpa plant as the 500 tpa does represent a quarter of the new plant output.
