Anyhoo, I think it's you that is missing the point. I will give you credit though as one of the very few (including @GCar through gritted teeth) that are willing to acknowledge that AGY will have had a portion of tech grade output, and will likely continue to do so. Tip of the cap to you for your honesty.
But I think your view about the optics of tech grade production is a little flawed. You have stated that releasing production news of tech grade output will look bad to Tier 1 battery execs. That's an extremely simplistic view, as any potential offtake partner or financier will have completed serious due diligence and will have already have a very clear view of what AGY is capable of achieving (including current outputs), and it will make allowances for that.
All that concealing this information (about tech grade production) achieves is building a fantasy view amongst ill-informed shareholders who are fixated on "battery grade", even though tech grade eventually makes it's way into batteries anyway. It's clear that many here buy into that fallacy (obviously not you of course), but the chickens will eventually come home to roost. In my view, it's better to rip the band-aid off early, rather than using weasel-words to sustain false impressions amongst the retail crowd.
