There may be discussions behind closed doors regarding offtakes throughout the market, but we simply don't know. You are likely correct regarding Toyota and AKE's uncontracted volume, but the fact is that if Tier 1 operators were indeed desperate to secure offtakes for lithium carbonate, those volumes would already have been snapped up.
Regarding JZ's comments, they just prove one of my suspicions that many offtake partners will be seeking a bargain, with lots of low-balling going on. His comments are also self-evident, as there can only be one "best" offer, best being singular and all. While I think that they'll get a good deal done once the EIA approval is in place, only time will tell.
Agreed that lots of patience is required here.
