Nice to see a rare case of someone being realistic. Everyone says they want to save the world and do the right thing, but talk is cheap. Lithium carbonate is a commodity product. Price, quality and reliability of supply make up 99% of how well your product will sell. The majority of companies will literally buy from a company owned by a genocidal dictatorship intent on destroying the government of their own country if the price is a little cheaper. Consumers will for the most part do the same. Some of the people reading this comment, in Australia, will do so on electronics produced in a country which literally uses slave labour and practices genocide, and some of those same people will virtue signal about the importance of conscientious buying. They'll do so in a heated home wearing new clothes while their expensive vehicle sits in the garage.
