I'm also interested in this part.
I guess it will depend on availability, cost, technology ( of extraction and of application ).
For example I think LiOH is more suitable for NCM811 batteries.
If this becomes the standard then LiOH will be in more demand.
But LiCO3 can be converted to LiOH if needed..... but at what cost?

However if technology changes to solid state batteries then I vaugely recall that swings back in favour of LiCO3.... but I cannot verify that right now.
If green credentials become more important then evidence suggest that brine has less environmental cost in producing both LiCO3 and LiOH.
