There's certainly been some 'robust discussion' on HC, some may say 'disputes' between the participants (both positive and negative) regarding what AGY has & hasn't got, can & can't do and is and isn't worth. However there are some points that neither side of 'politics' (points of view) seemingly dispute.

AGY has Rio Tinto as a Rincon neighbour. Global miner Rio Tinto purchased the Rincon project in March 2022 for US$825 million, with plans to develop a battery-grade lithium carbonate plant with an annual capacity of 3,000 tons. Argentina’s Salta province approved the permit for miner Rio Tinto’s 3,000t/y lithium carbonate processing plant in Jan 2024. Reported in March 2024, Rio Tinto will invest US$350 million at its Rincon lithium plant in Argentina as it works to begin production by the end of the year. Assuming all goes to plan (yet to be confirmed) RIO would have outlaid US$1.175 billion (AU$1.765 billion) to be producing 3,000 tons of lithium carbonate. Now there may be some conjecture as to when, what and how much lithium RIO may produce, but the dates, dollars, location and permit(tonnage) to this point are not in dispute.

Argosy Minerals Limited (AGY) currently owns 77.5% of the Rincon Lithium Project in Salta Province. I understand there's a possibility of an ultimate 90% interest in the future, but there's a lot of water (time & money) to go under the bridge and trying to establish (list) factors that are not in dispute. So 77.5%, is what it is at this point. It is noted that some participants (protagonists) on HC prefer dot points.
    AGY currently has...
►Tenement in Salta Province (Rincon Lithium Project)
►Total Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) - 686,875 tonnes of lithium carbonate.
►The Company now has approval to develop and produce up to 12,000tpa of lithium carbonate product at our Rincon Project.
►brine can be pumped for a period of up to 42 years to produce 12,000tpa of lithium carbonate (24k for 22yrs mentioned but at this stage approval for 12k is what AGY has)
►2,000tpa Lithium Carbonate Production Facility (currently not operational, but hey there must be a few spare parts of value at least).
►38 hectares of lithium brine evaporation ponds
►Intellectual property. Difficult to evaluate, but AGY has run a hundred odd tests and at least worked out 100 ways that didn't produce 2,000tpa.

Although some may try, they might say it shouldn't be so, nobody can argue that as at close of business today, AGY's sp on ASX is AU$0.0135 equating to a market capitilisation of AU$190 million. Now assuming Tonopah is worth nothing and with AGY currently owning 77.5% the total market valuation of the Rincon Lithium Project in Salta Province is circa AU$245 million. TRUE!sneaky.png

OK there's doubt about whether the AGY team can produce BG Li carbonate at commercial levels (2000tpa, 12,000tpa), speculation of an 'imminent' (had to use the word)tongue.pngcapital raising and scepticism as to whether AGY management can secure an offtake partner. Can except there is some possibility that these 3 items/matters cannot be achieved or solved, but I cannot comprehend that the Rincon Lithium Project (with the developments/achievements listed above) is only worth AU$245 million. Because it is fact that Global miner Rio Tinto purchased their Rincon Lithium project from Rincon Mining for US$825 million in March 2022. Yeah it may be a better tenement with a potential larger resource and Li price could have been higher.

With a market capitalisation of AU$190mil and valuation for Rincon Lithium Project of $245mil maybe instead an Investment Bank or Offtake partner AGY management should look for a good Salesperson. If production, capital raising and offtake agreements are all too hard, contact the private equity group Sentient Equity Partners, see if they can't find another Global mining giant to buy Rincon for say a Billion Aussie dollars. How about $900mil for a quick cash settlement?

    Qik maths.... $900mil x 77.5% = $697,500,000 / 1,404,407,498 = $0.4966 sp AGY.

Undoubtedly mentioning a sp of 50c will raise eyebrows, BUT AGY - 13.5c what.png
