IGO's Kwinana plant is a convenient selection. Let's consider LAAC's Cauchari-Olaroz operation in Argentina, which offers a much closer comparison. This facility also utilises a traditional evaporation pond setup to produce lithium carbonate and is currently in the ramp-up phase too. It achieved its first lithium production in June 2023, and within six months, it was already operating at 50% of its capacity, producing 5000 tonnes in one quarter. In contrast, AGY's 2 ktpa plant, despite commencing first production in December 2022 (16 months ago), is only operating at 5% of its capacity, a stark difference.

This highlights the issue with the "just be patient" or "you don't understand commissioning" perspective. There are clear examples that demonstrate AGY's mismanagement of the situation, though some individuals seem to be too entrenched in denial to acknowledge it.
