He (the milkman) doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
Even from the early days, with claims of “too much magnesium” etc.

His narrative is that we won’t profitably produce.
He has doubled down so many times that he can’t diverge from this position.

Regarding our process and the capability of our current plant, we are all aware of the reality:

“All chemical process technology reviews, validation and verification works have been successfully completed, confirming the Company’s capability to produce battery quality lithium carbonate product, with average product quality achieved up to 99.9% to date.”

and:

“Production output is currently limited due to downtime associated with equipment modifications and performance testing works, however, when operational, production operations are proceeding, with a total of ~48t of battery grade lithium carbonate produced to date.”

They are commissioning the plant. Simple.
Circa 50t is nothing to sneeze at btw.

Puna mining took the unconventional pathway to prioritise an industrial scale pilot plant and actually develop and understand a scalable process solution. Unlike benchtop studies and tiny lab samples, this - paired with “real” ponds - actually identified the quantities of the key process inputs of reagents and energy with relatively high confidence. Clearly, the company is more than comfortable that their demonstrated inputs/costs will enable a viable commercial operation, hence they are soldiering on towards production and expansion.
Garbage distractions like “low brine quality”, “too much magnesium”, etc etc are simply that; garbage distractions, by those who - for whatever reason - want others to believe there are no prospects for this company.
