It's an episode done by lithium expert Howard Klein, with guest speaker Simon Moores from Benchmark Minerals Intelligence.
Around the 29 minute mark Simon says that the low lithium price environment should last about 18 months. This is because it's simply too low to support any encouragement of new supply and simply cannot last. He says this window is a rich environment for acquisition opportunities.
In my opinion (not financial advice) how could you not be making decent coin putting in money at these levels...
Interesting background earlier in the video that Simon used to work for fastmarkets doing graphite analysis before he started BMI around 8-10 years ago. Someone just bought a 20% stake in BMI for $500m and they have 170 employees now. Wow.
It's also interesting in the video he says he estimates the US should be self sufficient in their supply chain in about 15 years. He said he wants to say 10 but there are alwaaays scaling and teething issues.
This principle is relatable to us in a sense.
I mean, did we really expect 0 commissioning issues when practically all successful briners ran into similar issues but made it through.
While there are genuine reasons to be frustrated everything always works out in the end and days of worry will be behind us.
