I appreciate that it's not uncommon, but the company tried to go it alone, have so far failed to scale the process and have had to eat humble pie.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's great the company has finally called them in, but my take is the feedback went along the lines of "the current process can't be scaled" hence the poor update and lack of timelines.

The issue I have is it's taken them 2 ears to call in the experts this first time.

I doubt they'll wait another 2 years, but there needs to be a Plan B.

Otherwise there is potential for this to drag out for an indefinite period of time.
