Things also sound much less promising on the strategic investment front. Mid to late last year, AGY were talking in the past tense like the selection of a “best deal” strategic partner was a foregone conclusion.
Now they’ve enlisted the services of an investment back to shop their operation around for potential funding deals. That’s not good, and anyone doubting this can take a look at LAC’s 30% SP drop overnight to lock in US$275m funding for Thacker Pass, keeping in mind that AGY will likely require a similar amount for Rincon Stage 3.
