Sure, I’ll clarify for you. AGY’s latest estimate of US$7500 OPEX per tonne is their best guess, and nothing more. In all likelihood it will probably be just another overly optimistic missed target.
On the other hand, AKE’s achievement of US$6088 per tonne OPEX is a tangible amount, it actually happened. The point is that there’s currently only US$423 difference in the spot price of tech vs battery grade. If Arcadium can maintain a US$500 lower OPEX, which they probably can based on scale alone, it makes for a more profitable operation.
