I have a machine which doesn't work. I try new filter cloths, they don't improve the performance. I continue until the filter cloths require cleaning/maintenance. I clean them and put them back.
At this point do you think I'm suddenly going to have a dramatic improvement in performance, dramatically better than the machine ever worked before?
Yes, I know they need maintenance, I'm not saying they shouldn't wash the cloths, that was never a point I questioned. Can you see the point I am making? You don't fix a machine by returning it to the condition it was in when it wasn't working.
