The only people who still care about "battery grade" are AGY die-hards. The price difference between tech and battery grade is just $US450 per tonne. LAAC have produced ~10,500 tonnes of tech grade carbonate since first production mid-last year. Their pile of lowly, tech-grade product is worth ~$US153m.
AGY have produced ~90 tonnes of battery grade carbonate over the last 18 months. Their pile of "premium", battery grade product is worth ~$1.35m.
Quantity beats quality every day of the week.
The only people who still care about "battery grade" are AGY...
