Appreciate your perspective mate, but I’m not concerned about the end user/customer. As an investor I’m really only concerned with potential returns. With only $450 per tonne separating tech and battery grade carbonate, it’s important to consider OPEX. If battery grade costs $500 per tonne more to produce (not saying it does, just an example), right now tech grade would be more profitable.
Quality isn’t everything, particularly from an investment perspective. Hyundai are far more profitable than Aston Martin, both on a percentage and gross basis. We know which one has the more premium product, but it doesn’t automatically equate to greater returns for investors.
