Why do people watch television shows? I rode 20km on a bicycle today. Why did I do that? I saw a poor woman selling hand picked mushrooms and bought a bag despite not really wanting them, but I figured she was doing her best to earn some money and I'd have no trouble giving them to someone who would greatly appreciated them (which I later did) - why did I do that? Why do people play online games? Why did you address me in a post?
If I succeed in helping someone along the way that's great, and over the years many people have thanked me for helping them avoid losses, but it's not my primary motivation. I've explained it many times, I'm not inclined to repeat myself in detail for you, but if you're sufficiently interested, search my posts and you'll find the answer already given, but very briefly, I find it interesting, it's helpful in understanding the market (look at the literal insanity being displayed among remaining holders today, it's an insight into the psychology of the market), and while AGY is confirmed dead as an investment as of today, it still may well provide profitable trading opportunities in the future. In no small part though, for me, it's like how most people see a television series they're already hooked on, or a novel they've already half read, and it's actually not a half bad novel.
