We need to remember this is a small-cap company that survived the COVID pandemic. They have direct experience in knowing how to conserve funds, go into hibernation mode and emerge from the cave once the myriad of sh*tstorms is over. The absolutely shocking state of lithium pricing in 2024 is a sh*tstorm. There is no sense in keeping an army of staff on the books full-time while the product isn't getting the price it requires. There is no sense in keeping everyone on to gaze at clouds and eat empanadas while Milei deals with the horrific delays in getting specialist chemical production machine parts into the province faster.Would you drive your motorcycle out into the desert when you have no idea how long you'd need to be travelling for before you see the other side? To carry on that way would wound shareholder value and open us to some punishing capital raises. There is no point in winning the shiny medal if you suffer mortal injuries during the match."It would demonstrate our capacity to produce to potential offtake partners."The potential offtake partners aren't wearing blindfolds on hot copper dot com. They can phone JZ up anytime and take a tour of the facility in person to see the capacity firsthand, ask questions and know the business better. Has there been mistakes? Sure. I think we could have avoided this mess if we have had secured the real support of a big offtake partner. A partner that could have provided protection from the vagaries of the market. But it didn't happen. The timing of the environmental approvals was absolutely a factor in that. Those approvals came way too late, and we were caught in the sh*tstorm by the time we got our green tick. There's a lot of tears and howling coming from the forums these last two days. Why do so many user accounts want management to throw company's funds down the toilet? Why are so many here so insistent that we need to keep on 190 relatively inexperienced staff when they know there are factors that severely limit staff productivity at this time? What are you smoking? And can I have some?
