it doesn't mention aluminium in an ion state at all and infact it doesn't mention aluminium at all . What it does mention is a silica silicone anode instead of graphite which is where the major improvements are .
So Lithium is here to stay and to be honest lithium is guaranteed this because of its atomic weight .
One last thing Tesla may have this battery tech advancement but Samsung and other Chinese phone manufacturers are already selling phones with the tech in the batteries .
