@Kalenni've just finished reading through the announcement (late to the desk today).
i noted the arsenopyrite too - such an important indicator. And with the outer zones being mineralised there's reason to thing the hot zone will not be barren. Will it be economic? Only finding it will tell us but I think confidence must be growing internally at ICG.
A couple of other things that popped out to me:
- the system is being interpreted as vertical porphyry fingers. This reminds me a bit of Cadia in NSW where skarn and quite vertical porphyry fingers have created one of Australia's greatest deposits. I believe the lachlan fold belt porphyries are considered Andean in type aren't they? Image below from portergeo
- the other interesting thing I noted was that vectoring at Puymanpata is inferred west to east, whilst vectoring at Pucamachay (currently down graded) is east to west. What's in the middle??? Is there a large central core that's pushed out to the west and to the east???
