What i am a little lost about is what has caused the carnage...

What i am a little lost about is what has caused the carnage across the sector in just the last 4 weeks, fair enough the gold price has come off a little but in Aussie dollars its down around 1% to 2697$ and the general market is down 180 points in last month but some of our gold explorers have been smashed, NXM hit 23 cents on the 2/2/2023, add in a good drill report on the 8th and a conference presso on the 14th and the share price hits 15.5 today?, yeah for sure the market is off but only 200 points since end of January but that is one hell of a percentage drop, same for another i hold OZM in the same area, 8 cents down to 5 cents and i see similar drops in other explorers, just cant get my head around the reason for such poor sentiment in the sector.
Thoughts?.
