Leah Moore gives a good presentation in my opinion. No hype ... perhaps helps being a junior not chasing cash.
Unlike many presentions there was a lot there I hadn't heard before especially about Mertondale and Pine Ck.
Interesting comment about the Royals and teams finding workings ... detectorists have of course been on to those for many years. One way to think about all the gold taken by detectorists and not mapped or recorded is "lost data". The distribution of near surface nuggets rarely figures in exploration presentations ... understandably, because there is not much overlap between amateur prospectors and mining companies, and a lot of gold found with detectors is never recorded.
A mention of some of the work shifting offices. I had wondered about that .. PTN went quiet for a while but company mergers are non trivial and can consume a lot of time and effort which doesn't produce any announcements.
I am a bit uneasy about the share purchases and cash being bundled together as liquid assets... depends how liquid some of those shareholdings are.
Really good to hear of a coherent, measured approach to exploration not rushed by a need for sugar hits to drive the next capital raise. That use of funds seems great.
The elephant in the room is the role of Delphi and a parallel hidden strategy to buy "strategic" stakes in other companies, with the only consistent strategy one could reverse engineer, in the absence of anything from PTN, is helping out existing Delphi investments. I am not completely against that ... Delphi are sophisticated operators and I might benefit from being a flea on their coat tails, and I don't think they are in the business of throwing good money after bad. I would just like to hear more. No criticism of Leah Moore ... she spoke about matters in her role. We need another presentation from the MD about the corporate strategy.
