On an analytical theme today starting at Mangaroon then going further afield.
PXRF in the field but backed up by laboratory work.
Multi element chemistry is becoming the norm these days with DRE going down this route as well (DT mentioned it but forget the details).
To build up a database of some 50 elements for each and perhaps every sample is an expensive exercise however, if done well it can repay this cost in many ways. Simple things are the actual assays of economical elements, the other elements can help give vectors towards mineralisation, perhaps distinguishing a favourable intrusive from an unfavourable one, helping geos with lithologies and much much more.
The above came because I did ask DT about gold exploration at Mangaroon. Fairly obvious that it is back burner but definitely not forgotten. Perhaps as an afterthought gold assays have been run on samples at Mangaroon (no detail or what ratio - could be 100%) but nothing showing up (DT). Probably not unexpected as the targets are unlikely to be auriferous. [Quartz veining mentioned in ironstones at Bald Hill. HAS].
For gold DRE have been consolidating some of the tenements with gold in addition to ones already held. They are compiling all available data including anecdotal(practical) observations made by prospectors who have spent decades in the area. DT mentioned Black Cat acquiring Paulsen's as a possible site for toll treating any high grade gold mineralisation encountered. High grade was historically shipped to Meekatharra. The lack of a local facility is cited as one reason Mangaroon is probably under explored for Au. Perhaps for copper and other base metals as well....

Off to Tarraji
I asked DT about the asymmetric distribution of the anomalous PXRF soil auger results to date.
The physical characteristics of the Ruins Dolerite have probably made it more likely to fracture and be susceptible to hydrothermal fluids as distinct to the area east to Grant's Find. This West East dichotomy is probably reflected to the south with Thunderer perhaps representing with western sequence of Ruins style while Vanguard and Wilsons the Grants style.
Grants and Rough Triangle have virtually no magnetic or shown reported responses to other techniques tried so far - paraphrasing DT but don't know any details.
In 2023 there is a plan to trial IP over Grants which could detect more disseminated sulphides which do not respond to AEM. If successful a further test at Vanguard. To mobilise an IP crew to here is expensive so it is a balancing act for the budget how much ground surveying they could do IMO.
Auger finished and Nick Chapman is now at Mangaroon.

Illaara - just a few points touched on.
Lara is getting up to speed on this - helps to have a good crew to provide base info.
Lithium - tough to target as under cover even if relatively extensive.
Monetizing the iron - Suspect DT regrets bringing it up given how little has eventuated so far. He didn't say it that way but my interpretation of a remark Always possible but when......
Spitfire Fe in recent drilling good. Kings not so good.

Abra-Paraburdoo applications
The southern group near Abra have been dropped. Cost to DRE - application fee and a field trip to collect samples to test a model.
While I use the word model it probably isn't correct. Whatever the results failed to support the concept used to apply for the claims and they were dropped.
