Ann: RMD to Report Second Quarter Fiscal 2020 Results, page-4

I was very lucky to double my holding around the $13 mark last year. I bought expecting the price to crawl back up to around $16/17 over a year. Not in my wildest dreams did I think the price would be where it is today even till the end of 2020.
Unfortunately sold some off when they hit 16 so quickly. At the time I thought I was being very smart and investing money elsewhere. Sold some again around 19 and then again at 21. As luck would have it, my other investment gave me as much return as RMD so I was able to buy back my main long term holding around 22 at essentially no extra cost. But valuable lesson (something I already know but struggle to do), is to not try to time the market and not sell something simply because the valuation is getting too high. I have since sworn to only sell down on a business if something fundamental changes. Went through a lot of stress with my other investment and for what? ended up still losing a bit of money and took on the extra risk for no good reason. RMD is a safe very long term hold so I can sleep easy even with this making up 20% of my portfolio.
