What is interesting in the scheme of things that the offer would have been in the pipeline with VMC and possibly with the SPX board (given how quickly it was accepted and recommended to the shareholders). So as soon as the settlement announcement came out the T/O announcement was released.
My wild guess is that some sort of understanding has been occurred between VMC/SPX/RMS to allow this to happen subsequently.
I wonder if RMS is intending to make a T/O offer to VMC (with understanding to drop the case against SPX) and hence leading to buyout of both?
Just a thought, I could be wrong
