It is definitely from 'left field' but that is perhaps the type of thinking and initiative that may make the difference. RNT is not trying to be a "me too" in the online rental portal business dominated by an 800lb gorilla.
Who knows, it may spawn an ancillary sector of companies providing furniture for landlords wanting to exploit short term vacancies in an otherwise long-term area (eg near universities during holidays). Perhaps called FurnitureConnect©Or it may create a subset of landlords who are happy to provide the assets for a 'try before you buy' situation in distinct stand-alone communities. They may value the high turnover and high rate market accessed by AirBnB. Or it may just bring more eyeballs to the site and give it more credibility when comparing to the 800lb gorilla.
Who know. But full marks from me for the effort and intent.
