They are Non Exec Directors. A very part-time involvement. - They have 12 Board meetings a year, and sub committee meetings. Most of which will be from home over Teams / Zoom etc. - Often they wont even attend all meetings.
Their dollar remuneration is fair enough. Often higher than some people earn in a job they are at full time for a year. - Give them out of the money Options if you must, then the cost to the company is neutral and it motivates them and they can make bank if the share price performs. - But millions of free shares outright for low bar performance is just milking the cow for all it's worth.
