Very sage points .... risk is highest for these spec plays at certain critical times.

For those compiling a list of "high risk periods" the other one that I can suggest is the Initial Met Testing.

Speculators nearly always assume that the Met is going to be good. Thus the results/ announcement are hardly ever positive. They are only ever neutral-to-negative from my experience.

I still recall the CDV initial met results and the panic that ensued, not helped by Brent Cook recommending to dump the stock.
