I don't know that this has done anything to de risk the project, if anything it shows there are a number of big ticket projects that have to get up to make these numbers work.
Compared to SS1, they are now assuming power to site will be grid based and transmission will be paid for by the provider. What if this doesn't go ahead?
They are also relying heavily on the West acces road to be approved and built. If this for any reason doesn't go ahead, good luck getting anything of size to site outside of the winter road access. Mining equipment isn't small and the majority of parts required for breakdown won't fit inside a DC3.
