It can b developed as a cluster if they have 2 closeby closures mapped at ROC. So each closure has its insitu net:gross payzone, perm/poro/pressure regime & areal closure. So easy to work out the volumetrics.
Main thing is the gas here is liquids wet ie CGR of 50 bbls/mmcf is good. Given the average porosity of 9% & 100-350 millidarcy perm & interval around 4300-4400m this should flow north of 25mmcfd (depending on choke size (half inch or an inch) & no pressure depletion from any blockages etc.
They already have 120m of core, so the sands that are HC bearing were safely cored. The lab can run a spot poro/perm check & do a quick Routine core analysis for the top 60-80m section from say 4300m to 4380m in my view. Their geo's in the meantime can do a correlation plot betwn the 2 wells.
Their MDT log result looks impressive. This tool indicates faster drawdown of fluids in a good reservoir ie few seconds or minutes to fill the gas chamber on the tool, its pressure in psi & when the tool is pulled back to the rigfloor a quick sample analysis via the chromatograph etc tells them the compositional breakdown.
Final DST results will also tell them what the actual gas quality is ie lack of any CO2 & any nasties. Fingers crossed.
Overall a good result. Not sure how big the two struc's are, mayb 500bcf (as an example depending on the sqkms areal cover etc etc) or thereabouts or whatever their consultants can come up with for a 2C estimate will b a good results. It's a good result for Team Quadrant who could look at future commercial options ie tie-back to Reindeer etc etc.
Look fwd to the DST results nxt month, which will b announced after
- running of the 7" liner,
- loading the Perf guns & firing them,
- perforating the liner,
- letting the well cleanup its contents & flow over a set duration over variabel choke sizes (32/64 etc)
- monitoring the pressure (in psi) &
- recording gas/liq composition (CGR in bbls/mmcf, etc)
- & then safely plug the well & then do a rig release.
