    Thanks for you quick reply.

I agree i.e. the world ist littered with thousands of long forgotten junior explorers who found surface gold and nothing much else at all. In fact, I read that 600 tenements are drilled for each ore body that is discovered and subsequently made into a mine. 600/1 certainly does not sound like good odds to me!

I am also no fan of gravity anomalies. They are often totally wrong. If they were any good, it would take a lot of the guess work out of the equation.

I believe that due to the fact that FNT has been able to take an expert look at a lot of historical "drill" cores and other assay results from Tolukuma EL2531, they have taken a major part of the usual guessing game out of the equation. In addition, the nearby and existing Tolukuma mine ML104 provides clear evidence that economically viable amounts of gold are present in the Tolukuma region. These are the two main reasons why I invested in FNT in the first place.

As I said in an earlier thread, I will wait until the soil sample and the trench results are both in before getting too carried away. However, even if these results are excellent, a comprehensive drilling program will still be required in order to locate a major gold deposit (preferably 2 million ounces), if there is actually one there at all. Therefore, FNT still have a long way to go.

If a major gold deposit is actually found at EL2531, the fact that the existing Tolukuma mine/mill ML104 is right next door, certainly makes FNT's chances of turning EL2531 into an actual gold producing mine far more realistic. This is definitely not usually the case in such remote regions of PNG. Therefore, I believe that FNT's odds of success are already far shorter than the 600/1 that I mentioned earlier.

    Cheers.
