I'm with you. Sampling a little grab like that off the outside of a - clearly inhomogeneous- stockpile is about as good as writing a bunch of grades on little bits of paper and then pulling them out of a hat. I was pretty surprised to see two whole pages devoted to that sort of thing - even though it says underneath that's not how the stockpile grades are derived. Well why show it then?
