Queensland copper producer CuDeco Limited (CuDeco) (ASX: CDU) announced today that Oz Mining Pty Ltd (Oz Mining) has been awarded Phase-2 of the Rocklands Mining Contract, which is expected to commence from 13 September 2017.
Oz Mining is very familiar with the Rocklands mining project and has commenced mobilising equipment and personnel to site. Roc-Drill Pty Ltd will continue its Drill & Blast sub-contract activities under this arrangement.
The Contract with Oz Mining is on materially the same terms as the original mining contract entered into by CuDeco in February 2017. The Company is confident that the above contractual arrangements will enable mining operations to continue without disruption from 13 September 2017.
