This whole saga should be the case study/ antagonist/ benchmark for reform.

If mining is ever going to recover in Australia, it will need investment. Brave investment.

While there's CDUs, ABUs and KZls allowed to run amok unchallenged by the regulators, I fear that mining in this country is dead for a long time.

And that's a shame. Who in thier right mind would invest in ANY junior / start up mining project right now?

It's not just the commodity prices, or the China stuff, it's the reputation of these companies for bad management, questionable corporate practices and failing to live up to thier hype.

I don't want CDU to fail. Far from it.

I want the people running the show to be accountable for themselves. These people make huge money. It doesn't matter to them if the show falls over. They're on big money, regardless of the outcome.

But if matters a lot to the employees and the mum and dad investors.
