somehow a strange report for me. It is a standard procedure to keep the well producing, flowing (using a flare) after lifting with N2 after acidizing instead of shut in the well. The reason is if you still have some spent acid left in the well, over time you can get secondary precipitation. And guess what. This secondary precipitation can cause a skin, i.e. you get again a near wellbore damage.
Sitting in my armchair and reading this report I am afraid they are without fortune and that they made (again?) a little mistake, which again can cause a formation damage?
