I like what Roots does - I just feel MM is a much of a distraction as them saying lets partner with blockchain. What Roots need is simple - more product sales from traditional field market crops.

I suggest you read the annoucement on 8 May 2018. This will answer how they will provide yield quality that matches hydro.

In terms of oversupply, it will be the companies with the lowest production costs that will survive, and an open field producer has less cost that an hydroponics producer.
