How did they tick this box as "Achieved" ? So they were able to produce BG at a scale of 5 tons over 6 months (July 2019 to December 2019) at a loss and they claim to have "proven" prcoess to produce at commercial scale ?



Is production at commercial scale at a profit? At what scale does it actually become profitable?

There is no point to build a 500 ton pilot plant when you only needed it to produce 5 tons - because as Agy announced it is uneconomical and are limiting production at pilot plant to "conserve cash"

Now they want to upscale from the dud 500 tons pilot to a 2,000 tons commercial plant - must be crossing all their fingers this scale will be economical.

They believe a 4x increase in scale from 500 to 2,000 will solve their uneconomical process flow at 500 tons - wonder what sort of additional machinery and automation they were going to implement at the 500 ton pilot plant which they announced around April/May 2019 but never carried out.

Looks like they would need all the automation they can muster for the new 2,000 ton plant if it will ever produce consistently at profit. Costs in productions can easily add up and multiply on poor process flow and inefficiencies, material/reagent wastages and fine tuning the product specs - all of which Agy has only demonstrated to produce 5 tons or so at an uneconomical model.

It is not surprising financiers and the market have their reservations with Agy and their claims.
