would not selling the auto parts businesses before the rural businesses complicate the sale of the rural services, (which would be loaded up heavily with debt) , as the shrunken eld would then require a vote by eld shareholders (& embarrassment & worse for the eld directors) for the sale of the rural services businesses.

guess eld is to be suspended (& will never retrade) from trading on the asx within a few weeks (& definitely before 31 march accounts are due for release) & there will be no publicly released eld 6 months accounts to 31/3/2013.

having been burnt on gnspa (& others) previously - not game to touch eldpa -fear that all the value in eldpa (my view - the only present equity in eld) will soon all be plundered.

ask yourselves if a vote by eld shareholders is required - why would eld ordinary shareholders vote in favour of anything if they are gunna get zilch. Then ask yourself who is gunna pay.
