An article in the AFR on 26 March says that RHL is having RBS Morgans assist in financing the deal to buy ELD Rural Services. We know there will be a big capital raising there. Soul Pattinsons is said to be supportive. RHL could push ELD to such a low point by delaying making an offer, that ELD shareholders force ELD to hurry things up, but RHL might want to be careful, because Rural Services could get snatched by another player. Like I have said, though, the ACCC would not be wasting resources unless RHL's intentions were not serious. Itis strange that the ACCC is doing their investigations- normally ahard bid is on the table before they check competition issues. Fait accompli?
SSV, I have not read a thing about banks taking control at the end of the month. Do you have any source for that rumour, please?
