From limited information available, it looks like Supreme Leader Xi's COVID-19 policies have been a disaster that's intensifying. Chinese locally produced vaccines are said to be less effective (or ineffective?) against various strains.
The picture of concern is of parcels piling up in a Beijing street. Allegedly according to the media, mainland Chinese movement of parcels is collapsing.
I don't know if it extends to full container loads but with so many people becoming sick, and the other issue of the healthy having to look after elderly relatives who may be at risk of death, logic suggests it may have.If so, there will be implications in time for RWC.
One doesn't want to be alarmist but with headlines like this in the 'AFR', it's a concern:
"China is on the brink of a catastrophe that will undermine the president and hit supply chains across the world".
