(my post on the RXL thread) This is a completely new direction for regional Youanmi JV exploration.
Until recently Venus was the regional JV manager, a situation that Alex was keen to change.
Under Venus's management the exploration focus was Sovereign, Currans and Taylor's Reef.
Venus liked these because they were historically mined and shared similar geology to the historical Penny West mine (now serving as access to the Penny Project (Ramelius).
The drill results were not bad but not spectacular.Eventually perhaps 50,000 ozs au will be mined from these targets.
But Alex is hunting big finds, another Penny or Grace and was unhappy to continue to spend money on these targets,
At the same time he has been trying to purchase the Venus stake in Younami but without success.
Recently Rox finally got control of the regional JV program.
Hawke's Point tipped $1m into the Rox exploration budget for regional exploration.

Since assuming management of the Regional Joint Ventures (ASX Release 12 April 2021), Rox has completed a comprehensive review of the extensive historical datasets including drilling, geochemical and geophysical. The review has identified numerous targets over an 18km strike continuation of the Youanmi Shear Zone and subsidiary faults that host the major gold occurrences in the region (Penny Project and Youanmi Mine). New targets are largely untested, and known occurrences that require follow-up work.

Rox has a massive historical data base of just about all previous exploration along the shear zone and his top of their game geos reviewed it all.
The new targets are highly prospective.
Worth noting the reference to data that requires follow up work.
Penny North (Penny Project) was 'discovered' by Spectrum who found a reference to a single high grade hit by Eastmet that had not been followed up.
