@Jongerd. I guesstimate Hillside requires an equivalent copper grade of about 0.73%to be profitable. I base this on the normal ROR, i.e. payback within 4years. Altuogh Hillside would be unprofitable if mined now copper looks to be more likely to have a bull run in the next 5 years. I don’t consider the PERP to be a dominant factor, provided it does get passed. The sp may ,however,be lifted in the short term. If joint-ventured Hillside looks even more secure. Rizzla was spot on , copper grades have been slewed by the tier1 copper porphyries, which have had reduced average grades. Tier1 mines are block and fill, the fill is left in situ, and costs are less than in normal open cuts where the spoil has to be physical removed from the mine area.@ Gypsie15 ,sophisicated investors are merely “rich”investors. They are recognised to throw good money after bad, just as you or I do! Don’t think you can remove “management” from the equation. Check Cudeco if you think management is not important, there a company that has been butchered by management. BOLTA!
