I find this latest ‘brick’ to instal in the ryoncil ‘worry wall’ is likely to be a filter placed on the families & medicos ….especially if a course of rux is ‘way cheaper’ than a treatment regime of ryoncil. As we are blissfully unaware what that exact cost is…we are not able to make that comparison. I would imagine that the fact that jakafi has been proven to be ineffective for children with GVHD…one would imagine, medically speaking, that time is of the essence. Why send the medicos & patients on what is essentially a ‘fool’s errand’ if they already know it will simply be wasting precious time ? I would hope the medical team will devise a strategy to circumvent this process using creative testing results & associated anaylis ?
