    As someone who actually lives in the USA and has dealt with the healthcare system for a while, I can tell that some posters here are just full of FUD. It really isn't hard to see.

    Suffice to say, insurance pays for treatments that a provider says are medically necessary. On a high value treatment like Ryoncil it is almost a certainty that someone inside the insurance company will look at the request and ask a few questions. But, if it is indeed necessary it will be paid. Happens all the time.

    The last thing an insurance company wants is denying a claim and delaying it and causing a child to die. This is indeed a deadly condition that is being treated.

    And to another poster - we saw the big effort to precent Ryoncil to be approved at the first submission. That effort worked then, and it clearly failed. Imagine, the FDA didn't just quietly approve the treatment. They approved it EARLY, and issued a press release to trumpet the breakthrough. Good luck with that argument saying it doesn't work. Those are amateurish arguments.
