With ChapGPT and even the old school Google, people can ask all the questions they want. I think you will find that the information shared by me is accurate, though simplified in some cases to avoid unnecessary jargon.
I think first hand experience should count for something. Having a friend who uses the system is also helpful, but I think people tend to either be positive or negative about the system based on their own experience or lack of knowledge.
Most people outside the US don't understand the system. With a single payer system as exist in most Commonwealth countries, it is unheard of that a treatment costing $1.5M could be approved. After all, such a sum would be coming from the government, and everyone can find something better their government could be doing with that sum, rather than saving a baby's life.
We don't make such judgments in our system. The system is setup to save and preserve life.
