    The best way to manipulate emergence is timing of winter pruning. Most growers don’t want early emergence because it increases risk of frost damage. Damage to the vine root system during installation looks inevitable. Will take at least one season to recover, vine will be unduly stressed in the meantime. Desperate crazy plan.
