I could be wrong but i suspect we will see much less buying moving into ASX200 than into the ASX300. The reason i say this is because in my SMSF i am able to purchase 20% of a stock that is listed on ASX300 (I believe the same restrictions still apply for stocks in that are in the ASX200 - unfortunately - therefore the move doesn't benefit me at all. I would like to have seen AJM move into the ASX300 in which case I would have loaded up on AJM in my SMSF. To me, there lies the difference between ASX200 vs ASX300.
Some might say Instos won't look at a stock unless it is in the ASX200, but i suspect this wouldn't hold the instos back if there's money to be made.
