Hi Goldy excellent read that.
Highlight for me was retail sales section "Online sales boomed in 2016, surging 26.2 percent year-on-year to reach 5.16 trillion yuan" and "Retail sales of consumer goods, a key indicator of consumption, are expected to jump by 10.2 percent year-on-year to exceed 37 trillion yuan in 2017, contributing more than 70 percent of the country's economic growth, according to a report issued by the China General Chamber of Commerce"
Then at the end I think the kicker is "China's per capita disposable income came to 23,821 yuan ($3,469) in 2016, up 6.3 percent year-on-year in real terms" and "Urban and rural per capita disposable income reached 33,616 yuan and 12,363 yuan in 2016, up 5.6 percent and 6.2 percent in real terms, respectively".
If the SMA can capture even a small part of this then growth and profits will come.
