Take a look at stocks like BLK, DRM, (RMS?)super volatile, when going up they have a index tail wind, on the way down they drop like a ton of bricks. The effect of whether they are included in an index is pro-cyclical on stocks whose market cap that are on the margins of the index’s market cap requirement.
